At Wellhouse Development, we understand that access to quality, affordable housing provides stability for families and improves quality of life in areas of financial security, health and education. Its mission is to develop sustainable, affordable housing that facilitates the empowerment of individuals, families and communities.
Tanya Skillman established Wellhouse Development in 2019. She started in the affordable housing industry in 2004 working as a paralegal for a Missouri based syndication company and was promoted to Project Manger within 6-months.
Through the years, she has managed various aspects of closing affordable housing and renewable energy developments financed by tax credits. Some of the states include; Georgia, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Missouri for a total of over $500 million in credits. Her areas of expertise includes, debt and equity, construction monitoring, lease up and tax credit compliance. Tanya also has experience with tax exempt bond financing, USDA RD loans, project-based section 8, CDBG and HOME funds.
Ms. Skillman has garnered strategic partnerships with industry leaders in order to develop affordable housing for seniors and families with focus in the South and the Midwest. Additionally, she consults on projects as a pre-development and post closing Project Manager for affordable and market rate multifamily housing projects.
Wellhouse Development has received MBE certification from the Mountain Plains Minority Supplier Development Council and WMBE Status from the State of Missouri Office of Administration, the Kansas Department of Commerce and the State of Indiana.
